Scenario results for target countries and EU
This tool provides the results of alternative scenarios of development of the building stock and its energy demand in the EU-28 (+ Serbia) up to 2030. Different set of national policy packages on the refurbishment of the existing building stock have been developed in close cooperation with national stakeholders and policy makers. The scenarios are country specific and cannot be compared among countries. The scenarios have been simulated with the Invert/EE-Lab model taking into account the cost of the various renovation options and decision criteria of different groups of investors.
The scenario results for nine target countries and the EU-28 are available at following link:

Rethink • Renew • Restart
eceee 2013 Summer Study on energy efficiency, 3–8 June 2013
Club Belambra Les Criques, Presqu’île de Giens, Toulon-Hyères, France
The new European Energy Efficiency Directive is a good first step for Europe. But it is just the start. It is time to rethink policies and options. It is time to renew commitments to climate, energy security and reduced energy demand. And it is time to restart activities that actually achieve something. Join us in June to discuss how to make this a reality!

Innovative policy sets for nZEB
31. 05. 2013
In many countries transforming the building sector is one of the key elements for moving the energy system towards low carbon. Very long reinvestment cycles, large capital intensity and a rather heterogeneous ownership structure make this transformation a challenge for governments to identify policy paths that comply with the long-term targets.
This report provides a comprehensive list of different instrument options all of which are targeting at modernisation measures in the building sector thus addressing the multiple and often target-group specific barriers in the built environment.
Report that provides an overview and assessment of principle integrated policy sets that aim at the nZEB standard is available in Publications/Innovative policy sets for nZEB.
Workshop in Romania held
24. 04. 2013

Acceptance of nZEB report
09. 04. 2013
New report on specific features of public and social acceptance and perception of nearly zero-energy buildings and renewable heating and cooling in Europe with a specific focus on the target countries has been published.
This report explores the factors influencing public acceptance of nearly-zero energy building solutions and renewable heating and cooling in the building sector. It contributes to the ENTRANZE project. ENTRANZE is funded by the Intelligent Energy Europe programme and aims to actively support policy making by providing data, analysis and guidelines to achieve a fast and strong penetration of nearly-zero-energy buildings (nZEB) and renewable heating and cooling (RESH/C) in the existing building stock.
The report is available in section Publications/Acceptance of nZEB.
